I'll be honest, I'd be scared to death if I shot it. If asked by a warden, I'd probably try to pass it off as some sort of wood duck hybrid. It is a sharp looking bird, though.

We have had one the last two seasons show up at Colusa Wildlife area on the west side of the valley. Little guy hangs out at the same pond on the same island, and has been seen flying with groups of wigeon.
Who really runs the prison? The inmates or the guards?
