Any of you handgun gurus have a review for me? I shot my brothers sr9 and liked it. Local gunstore has a screaming deal on them right now and I am seriously considering picking one up for a cc gun?

Check out the Sig P6 Old single stack Euro Cop gun, shoots great, lightweight and quality.

First I'd be curious what the "screaming" deal is on them.

That's anywhere from 30-50 cheaper than any others around here.

That's a pretty damn good deal. I've never had a chance to shoot the 40, but they seem like solid guns. Never had any complaints or returns on them.

What's wrong with the lc9?

I have shot my buddies sr9c on several occasions and really like it. Accurate as hell and fun to shoot. I have also never seen it malfunction. I would assume the 40 has the same story.

I've been debating with myself about buying one of these... love the way it feels.

I finally got out and shot it a little yesterday. For what it's worth I will type up a quick review so far sometime today.

In my opinion, if you're gonna carry it, it's gonna be a work gun. Not something pretty you're gonna take to the range so your buddies will all take turns jerking you off to touch it. Do yourself a favor. Go with tried and true

I just noticed I've made two masturbation references in this short lived thread already. I better go rub one out. Gila can I borrow your gun?

Shot the gun some Sunday. I enjoy the way it shoots. recoil is manageable seems to be directed straight back as oppose to the muzzle jumping. It is as accurate a pistol as I need as an occasional pistol shooter. the rear sight is adjustable but I made no adjustments. My only complaint so far about regular functionality would be that the thumb safety seems a little too catchy to me. Harder than I would like to engage or disengage. With the small magazine without the pinky extension my pinky finger is off the gun but just barely. With the large magazine in nothing feels "compact" about the gun. I have carried it a few places and it has been very comfortable so far. Easily concealed with the small mag and an IWB holster. No sharp edges that I noticed while walking or sitting. Overall I really like this gun it fits my hands well and I look forward to making it my daily carry gun. As for reliability I cannot really comment yet. After the initial cleaning I had no issues but only put a box through it. Only time will tell I suppose. I have owned a lot of different rugers and although this is very early in their striker fire production I have always found they make quality firearms. In my experience their customer service has been second to none and the HQ is here in my home state which I also like. Thanks for the input fellas.

No need to use the safety on those. Striker fired are pretty damn safe by them selves.
