Pumped up myself. We have dove on the 1st, teal on the 13th, Prairie chicken on the 17th. Dove should be good, not sure about teal and chickens. Plus, I'm leaving on the 19th for 3 days chasing after muleys, or a whitetail if the right one shows himself.

I'm still up in the air, but I might be down in your neck of the woods Sept 18. Buddy of mine is a huge Auburn fan, so he is trying to come up with an extra ticket foe when they come to K State.

Only 19 days to the opener and the dove numbers look good here in the Central Valley.
I have a young dog that belongs to my wife that I am looking forward to working with part of the time and then a few tuneup shoots for Colt the Wonder Dog.
I am blessed that my buddy is a big almond Grower and has some huge Ranch's to shoot and we never seem to run out of a fresh spot.

You guys are crazy. I wish I had a few more months until the season started. Been too damn busy.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

yea I agree it it started next week I'd be alittle stressed. Us working stiffs aren't always prepared at the drop of a hat

Same here. I still have 30 crop damage tags in my pocket, and have only sat in a field once. There's just not enough hours in the day anymore.

You actually have a season for wood duck ?
Is that the only time wood duck is open or is it in addition to general duck season ?

It's additional. It's a 3 day season the 2nd weekend of September. Early goose is sept 1-15. Woody is 13-15, 2 birds a man. Then it's 2 woodys a man during the reg duck season
