Actually, my first ever drake hooded merganser, so I was pretty happy with it. I'd have been much happier with a drake pintail, but you take what your given.
It started of completely dead, but some ducks started moving later in the morning. It looked like a few flocks of migrators, so hopefully things will start to improve.
