Benelli SBE II

One of my friends just got one and the damn loading gate is a bitch. I remember somebody on here saying there was a replacement that wouldn't bite ya as bad. Think it may have been Dan? Any info appreciated.

Been having a SBE since around the second year they were in this country, and danged if I know what might be called a "loading ate" that's apt to bite anyone.

Where you stick the shells in. I've never had problems with any other autoloader but this motherfucker pins my thumb between the end of it and where the mag tube meets the receiver.

Every duck season it rips off a chunk of my skin right at the corner of my thumbnail. Never have it happen when shooting skeet when it's warm out. I think with the old weather and repeated loading of the gun makes for a bad combo. Hurts and bleeds like a bitch once you bust it open and forget to look out the next time you are loading shells.

Not my problem. I shoot Brownings so I don't have to deal with design flaws....

I was hoping you'd weigh in. Comment was more for you than Rex. Lol

My M2 has never bit me.

I am going to sell my Beretta AL390 because I have the controls on it.

But the M2 has been a great all around gun.
