Turned out the plowed ground was already wet enough that my little Toyota 4x bogged on the way out. So we started our date with a nice mile and a half moonlight walk to the camp to borrow the boss' big-cleated Ford to pull it out.
Told Chereau I was apt to stick it, too, so she might want to wait at the camp, but she was so smitten with my charming self that she claimed to have enjoyed the walk and wouldn't mind if we did have to do it again. So off we went to, you guessed it, stick the big-cleated big Ford, too. And back we walked to the camp to get a Deere 4020 to salvage both trucks.
Was pretty dang sure the 4020 would turn the trick, but by that time enough of the shine had worn off our new romance that Sweet Cheraux opted to hand out with the folks in camp while I proved it. Which I did. (Not that I haven't hung up a tractor or two, OK:three in one day, as well.)
