The lake is full again.
Water hasn't went over the dam since last year.
In December there was 30 feet of beach right there.

Ever wonder why they're called mummies?
Do the research and you'll end up on the shores of the dead sea looking for some mum.
Mum?
You have to discover it for yourselves.
You'd never believe if I told you about mum.

This one fooled me into thinking it had perished.

If that colony survives it could produce some honey or perhaps get split into more colonies.
It could just die too.
Beekeeping is risky and you will have losses.
The odds are far better than Las Vegas tho.

I keep winning every year.

This is where beekeepers are like duck hunters.
You'd never believe how many beeks swear that they never have a hive die. They'll tell you they don't treat for mites and their bees have adapted and are just smarter than yours. They'll lie about their crop too.
Go to a meeting and share some actual facts about your bees and they'll pounce.
Sound familiar at all?

Kaymon Reynolds is really well-known.
I had no idea I was using Michael Palmer's recipe "ultra bee". Palmer is a beekeeper superstar from Lake Champlain.
We feed bees in March.

Rick's cutdown lies ...this little devil is loud as hell.
Crisp and has range.
The un-named one.
There are only three of these.
Call it junior. Kind of small.

The harder you blow it the louder it gets.
Use cutdown style and it barks.

I do not own these and I’ve never had them in my hands but everything I’ve heard has been positive about them.

I've got a huge list of stuff on sale at Roger's right now.
If you've ever ordered something there online you get emails. The deals on breathable waders are good right now if that's your thing.

My daughter Amber was "the cutest most well behaved child" according to pretty much everyone.
We were blessed.
Her four children are all sick again.

When I killed them chickens they did their death flapping and broke their wings.
Some even broke their legs.
It happens pretty fast and ain't pretty.
Chickens flopping around the yard breaking their limbs. What a world. Crazy times in the city...

Hard to believe it but when I was a kid we went to my grandparents house for Christmas in South Dakota. Was 1963 or 64 maybe.
My grampaw had live decoys and I wasn't allowed near them. We ate duck for Christmas dinner.
My family hunted ducks but they were pass-shooters pretty much.

My south dakota german dad was an airman at Chanute afb and I assume he somehow hooked up with a dingy hillbilly witch from Onarga who'd recently moved there from east Tennessee. Illinois...problems? Wtf you talkin about?

Bought me a helix.
Fuck lowrance.
The electronics and prop on my rig cost far more than I paid for it.

Am ready to go locate the brush piles now.
Dual spectrum sonar.
Sounds good.

It's different. Can actually hear the sonar pinging.
It clicks..my lowrance never did that.

That’s a great purchase I don’t think you will regret it. I do not personally own one but everybody I know that has one couldn’t be happier
