Murreyville Kennels' Little Miss Camouflage, or Cami for short. She was named after her great grandfather who was the only AKC registered Lab to have all 3 recognized colors, black, yellow and chocolate. He basically looked like a calico cat. When he would lay down in a leaf pile he disappeared, hence his name, Camouflage. He was kinda a big deal as he was studied by geneticists from around the world due to his genetic "defect". Anyways, I thought it was a really cool story so I as a tribute to him I named her Cami.

I have two lab's only one is reg, the non hunter since he was my first. My female has papers but I don't want to pay to get her name on a piece of paper given I will never breed her or run her in a comp of any sorts. My "house lab's" name is Blaze,not cause I like the sweet cheeba, but cause his ears are darn near orange. The AKC contacts me and says there are already too many dog's reg'd with this name. So I went with Beniford Blaze, no meaning whats so ever, I've just never met a Beniford before. Kinda like in Happy Gilmore thing, "I've never seen a blue duck so I made this duck blue".
