For a call blank its not that expensive. I'm not building a house with that shit.

No that's the first that I have ever bought. It was either that one or a 1.5"x1.5"x11" for $75. Kinda a no brainer since this one was bigger at almost half the price if I cut it in half. Figured I might have one turned and sell the other half to make up some of the cost.

You could save a lot of dough I imagine

You are probably right. This probably will not happen often but I have always wanted an Amboyna call and the price was good for what I have seen.

Winchester Experts, which I know some of you hate but I got them for $109.90 for a case of 3in number 3's at MPW. Free shipping and no taxes, ordered them yesterday and they were here today.

I think you'll be pleased. I wanted to knuckle chop my wife when she bullied me into two of them when we were at harbor freight, but after a couple days, I was very happy about the purchase, and still am.

Can't disagree there, but what does the setup run prior to loading your first shell? I would like to get into it but have been holding off as of late due to the craze that's going on.

Around $350 for press and scale if bought new. Then buy your components

So if I wanted to load a case of 12 gauge shells for myself what am I looking at price wise, powder, hull's, primers, press, scales you name it, the first run that is. What I really am looking for is at what point do I start to see savings? This may light a fire under my ass to get to it. If the press and scales cost me 350 I have 3 cases of Expert, if I am looking at another couple hundred to get everything I need to get up and running I am looking at 4-5 cases of shells vs. reloading. What I want is a reason to start reloading, it would be great to do in the off season and I am not jumping on anyones back about it. I just want the numbers so I can explain it to my better half.
