A couple guys did this with a pontoon boat at the lake near me.

I locked my keys in my truck at the boat ramp once with the engine running. Also launched the boat once with the transom savor still attached.

If we're talking about our own stupidity. I've launched my boat with no plug before and took about twenty minutes to notice. Bilge pumps are worth their weight in gold.

My dad bought a new boat about ten years ago and the first time we put it in the water we were backing down a steep ramp and when the winch broke the boat came all the way off the trailer and bounced the transom off the concrete. Thankfully the motor was trimmed all the way up or that would be of been a hell of a lot more expensive

I can honestly say I have never done this. Don't ask me how and now that I said it it will probably happen on my next trip.

It has made for some rather "dramatic" stops at red lights. I usually just keep puffing on my cigarette, looking straight ahead as if nothing happened. Completely disregarding the 6 feet of rubber skid marks and my slightly sideways vehicle sitting there at the light. Never mind all the ancient trash and shit which finds it's way immediately into the front floorboards.

I can't remember the last time I pushed a clutch in, but it was not long enough ago.

about 20 years ago we were returning from the Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale. After running all night we were approaching the entrance to Port Everglades and I had a big target on radar heading straight for the Beach of Dania just south of Fort Laud. We tried to call him on the radio to inform him of his error (there are lots of red lights on condos there and it can be confusing at night)
He refused to answer us on the radio so we said fuck it!
Later that morning we learned that it was a US Nuclear powered submarine and had run aground on a reef just off of Dania Beach.
Bet that captain ain't still running one of those things.

Saw this one about 15 years ago, still laugh about it today. My Dad, Brother, Grandpa and I decided to go to the river for a little bankfishing, and at this particular stretch of river, some of the best fishing is right upstream of the boat launch. So we are about 75 yards upstream of the launch and we hear a boat motor absolutely screaming at the launch, sounded like someone was trying to trailer their boat at 50 mph. We look towards the ramp to see this guy with his bass boat pressed up against his tailgate with his 150 at full throttle. He was fighting a losing battle and within a matter of seconds, he backed off and we watched the truck and trailer roll into the water, and in about 30 seconds, the whole package was under about 20 ft of water. Come to find out, the guy had stored his boat/trailer at the river and had purchased an old truck for the express purpose of launching his boat. He said that his shifter was always a little loose, and that in this particular instance, when he hit the trailer, it jarred his truck enough that his truck dropped into reverse and proceeded to idle itself back into the river. The worst part of the ordeal, is that he was able to get the truck/trailer pulled out after a diver and wrecker showed up, but to the best of my knowledge, he never did find the ATV that floated out of the bed of the truck. He was pretty pissed about the ATV, didn't give a shit about the truck.

When I was 12 my dad, uncle and grand dad called me stump jumper for a few years. We had a blind in an oxbow off the river. Had to go through an under water stump field to get to it. I skipped over 3 stumps before capsizing the boat on the 4th.

About 20 years ago I watched a grandfather and grandson launch their little 14ft fiberglass runabout. The GF backed the boat in the water then got out of his caddy and climb into the boat. He started the old 40 horse Chrysler outboard that generated enough smoke that it reminded me of a scene from Apocalypse Now. The grandson who was around 12 years old went to undo the winch from the bow but the GF didn't wait for him to get it unclipped. As the boat shot of the trailer in reverse, the winch handle spun so fast that I think it caused a time warp. Through the smoke all I could see was the GS doing the best imitation of some getting beaten-up by Popeye that I ever saw. The time warping handle had proceeded to catch him under the chin no less than 200 - 300 times. Between the smoke and the blood I now knew what the definition of the term "crimson mist".

Now, my question to you is...... After all the clues I gave you..... What color were they (before all the blood)?Image
