watermelon

Postby aunt betty » Thu Jul 04, 2013 11:53 am

My wife insists that the instant you cut a melon or grape that it must be refrigerated or you will die from eating it.
Sensitive teeth. I just asked her to not refrigerate grapes and melons anymore please. She wants to fight about it.
Will I die if I eat an unrefrigerated grape? God damnit I gotta know.

I asked for a watermelon today.

She decided that means I wanted watermelon salad? This shit happens a lot.
She asks, "what do you want?". Then changes what I said and gets all butt hurt about it. She dcided I wanted that fruit salad with the little oranges and coconut the other day. (I cant stand coconut)
I'm like, "when did I ask for this? In my sleep?".
Drives me nuts.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

Can't stand Luke warm fruit. Especially watermelon.

Sent from my phone.

Must be an age thing. I don't think I have "sensitive" teeth, but damn, a bite into an ice cold watermelon or cantaloupe hurts like a bitch. Those things hold cold like a potato holds heat. Shit just doesn't stop.

Watermelon and canteloupe must be chilled to 42 degrees to truely appreciate this fine cuisine. If it hurts your teeth, well go to a dentist

Fruit should be served at room temperature in order to experience the greatest flavor.

When overly chilled, the pectins in the fruit physically bond with the sugars creating less than optimal flavor.

Watermelon room temperature. Slice into pieces, apply salt and eat. Or you can take a whole watermelon and cut a plug out of one end, pour a fifth of vodka in it, apply plug back into hole and chill. Eat after chilled. Keep away from kids.

It happens to me sometimes, too. I'm trying to BS, and I like to include some "facts", but then I accidentally include a real story, which stuck in my brain from somewhere. Apparently it just happened to Dan as well.
