We get a ton of them in out backyard. These were the only 4 so far this year. Maybe in a week or 2.

We usually get a 5gal bucked full just from around our garden fence by the end of the year. No idea why they grew there so good but it's nice.

They eat just like asparagus. Throwing a splash of balsamic in the mix never hurt anyone that I know.

Pickled sounds good though.

Pickled asparagas if it keeps its snap is a set of tits. Never had a pickled fern. Got to be awesome. The poisonous ones and good ones come up at the same time and I can never remember for sure but from a few stands I know well.
