7mm08
Bulldog0156 wrote:Dead is dead. .243 shoots plenty flat, kicks less, ammo can be found everywhere, and it is cheaper to shoot.

6mm vs .243 on recoil? looking to pick up one or the other for my wife.
very close, .243 ammo is much more available. 6mm is cool because its the underdog3geese4me wrote:jehler wrote:6mm Remington walks all over the .243Bulldog0156 wrote:Tomkat wrote:I would get rid of both of them for a proper deer caliber.

7-08 has a smaller brass than the 6mm but delivers a fair amount more trauma to a deer from what I've seen, probably the best white tail caliberrebelp74 wrote:3geese4me wrote:jehler wrote:6mm Remington walks all over the .243Bulldog0156 wrote:Tomkat wrote:I would get rid of both of them for a proper deer caliber.

Check out a 7mm08 more power than the others and kicks like a 20ga semi auto at the most.

.243 is less, 6mm is tough to find ammo for. As with any gun, shot placement is key.
