My lady does it all the time now too. Bugs the shit out of me so I finally asked her. Her face book is tied into her twitter and her instagram that it recognizes the hash tags and posts them to twatter and instaglam. On instagram and twitter those tags can be searched I think for other people to find.

I dont have a facebook but have Twitter and Instagram

Twitter is basically saying whatever you want to say (rant, advertisment, quote, announcement, mass invite, ect)

Instagram is photos only, with a small caption and you can hashtag as well. Instagram is kinda cool for a couple reasons...

1) there are tons of filters/borders that allow you to alter your pictures that you post. (black/white, 70s style, ect)
2) When you hashtag something on Instagram you can see what everyone else took a picture of using that hashtag..for instance

At our wedding we put out signs saying "If you have instagram, take pictures at the wedding and make sure to hashtag #leblancwedding when you post the picture. Now we can go on instagram, search #leblancwedding and we have a ton more pictures from everyone that was taking pictures at the wedding and posting them on Instagram with #leblancwedding
