You could BUY the entire communities of Cash and Egypt, Arkansas and still have 490 million dollars left. ;)
I kinda want to re-open the Cash Cafe. It's been boarded up for years. Wouldn't care if it lost money...there is no place to eat around there and MANY hunters. Can't believe nobody opens it just to get the duck-hunting gossip flowing. It would be a great way to keep track of who is killing what where.

Well, not all of it, I have a few fucktards I want to go out of my way to even scores with, and big money would bring out the creative side in me.

I did buy a ticket. My chances of winning are now as good as those who purchased 4,000 tickets.

No, you have the same odds but they have 3999 more chances.

I'm sure I'll regret trying to argue this but what the hell.

Exactly.

Tripod, either I will win a half-billion dollars with my one ticket or I won't.

Either they will win a half-billion dollars with one of their 4,000 tickets or they won't.

The only two possible outcomes- will or won't. The number matters not.

I agree with this. It's like fractions. You don't say you have 8/16 you say 1/2. After you break it down, it's 50/50, either you win or you don't.

I will take a swing,

Jim, your 50/50 theory is crap.

As a former student of quantitative analysis, your theory is full of holes. It does not take into account standard deviations, it does not attempt to explain variables, and frankly it smacks of laziness.

If it works for ya, roll with it.

I respect you too much to not say what I really think.

How are they any other outcomes in any situation besides WHAT you predicted/expected and NOT WHAT you predicted/expected? I may change my name to Occam.
