In the case of the lottery, it doesn't matter if there are 500 bazillion possible permutations of numbers. Nor does it matter if you have 1 ticket or 499 bazillion. The only one of those permutations is the one that is drawn. And that one will either match one ticket you have or it won't. 50/50. There is no other alternative. Everything boils down to one of two possible outcomes- it did, or it didn't.

As a former physics major, I like the 50/50 LAW.

Alright dammit! I covered my ass in my previous statement - your odds of winning are 50/50 (just like everybody else), but they have 3999 more chances than you do.

And remember, I've been on your side with the "law" being passed.

Doesn't matter how many chances they have- only one ticket will win. And the chances of you having that one ticket are 50/50- either you will have the winning ticket, or you won't.

Sure it doesn't matter, but it doesn't hurt either. If the tickets were free would you take the 4000 or would you be happy with just one opportunity?

Yawn...

At what point do you feel you have expressed your theory to its full potential?

Lets see a haiku about it

You understand your whole premise of the 50/50 depends upon whether time is real or not? If there is a such thing as time outcomes can happen and dice can fall. If time doesnt exist we are in a stand still and dice just roll on. Do you believe in time AT?

Roulette laughs at the 50/50 theory.

Nope- you're forgetting that even in "conventional" (or should I say "pre Law of 50/50™ thinking") odds, there is no guarantee whatsoever that in a "traditional" 1 in 50,000 chance that the NEXT spin of the wheel won't be that one. Traditional (outdated) theory states that if an event is repeated 50,000 times, one of those times will be the desired result. However, nowhere does it state WHICH of those 50,000 occurrences it will be, whether the first, the last, or the 23,047th. That's the void which the Law of 50/50™ fills- it accurately predicts specific occurrences, rather than wasting time with nonsensical huge number probabilities- the chances of any given occurrence producing the desired result are 50/50- either it will or it won't.

Don't worry TK- they laughed at Galileo, too.

Your chances of winning are 50/50, your odds of winning are jack shit.

Perhaps if you were referring to parallel universes, or a probability wave function which never collapses, you would be correct. But time exists if I say it exists. Or if you say it exists. Doesn't matter- "time" doesn't exist outside of each infinite frame of reference. Your day may drag, my day may fly.

50/50 works no matter the odds period By the time you reduce down all potentials it comes out to either it goes in your favor or against your favor period

I bet your whole 50/50 thing instantly changes when we calculate your odds of shooting a pintail this month.
Its 50/50. Either you wont or you fucking wont ever. bahaha

The ABC morning news just did a story about speculating who the winner is and at the end, the anchorman said, "The interstate lotto commissioner said to duct tape the winning ticket to your chest so you'll be safe when bringing it in to collect your prize". Something of that nature...

If the winner duct tapes that ticket to his chest the ticket is no good and will be rejected.
I should tape a losing ticket to my chest and go to that Florida store. They (news media) are waiting in the parking lot to pounce on whoever comes into that store looking excited. If you live anywhere near that store...tape a losing ticket onto your chest really good so when you peel it off it gets destroyed. Go to the store and act excited. The news people can be your witness to the stupidity.
Then you can sue ABC for telling you to do it.
I can't believe a national news network would air anything that's so fucking stupid.
He was being sarcastic...I know, BUT ON THE NEWS?

I wouldn't but you know someone would be that dumb. Possibly the actual winner. No rule says that only smart people can buy lotto tickets and watch ABC news.
