i think we have a few dildos running around on this board

so i just read wikipedia about storm glasses, the article didn't really say anything about accuracy. what are your experiences with the accuracy of it? if it seems mostly accurate i'd buy one.

Just got it as a gift. Will let ya know if it has any value for weather prediction. It seems to be working. Nice and sunny right now.

Was hoping someone would answer the same question.
I think it's kinda neat and want a decent barometer to go with it now.

If the liquid in the glass is clear, the weather will be bright and clear.
If the liquid is cloudy, the weather will be cloudy as well, perhaps with precipitation.
If there are small dots in the liquid, humid or foggy weather can be expected.
A cloudy glass with small stars indicates thunderstorms.
If the liquid contains small stars on sunny winter days, then snow is coming.
If there are large flakes throughout the liquid, it will be overcast in temperate seasons or snowy in the winter.
If there are crystals at the bottom, this indicates frost.
If there are threads near the top, it will be windy.

i just had a thought. with the positive pressure in modern housing, shouldn't it be outside for more accurate readings? please keep posting about this as you see changes, this is interesting.

After more research, found that storm glasses are just a sciency gimmick that snake-oil salesman probably sold.
Kinda figgered it was like that.
On the lighter side...my weatherman says there is a chance of rain every day. He's been predicting t-storms all last weeK. It's been dry. Luckily for the farmers, weatherboy was wrong.

Ever hear of the R.F.U.C. method of weather forecasting?
Stands for repeat forecast until correct.

My official prediction is:
The weather will be seasonal with springlike weather patterns. Tornadoes and T-storms are possible.

The real question should be, what did he type in to Google image search to find it?

This is probably the most accurate weather prediction.

Last night the glass changed. The crystals were at the top and sure enough...T-storms. It's still predicting T-storms.

Last night when I went to bed it was indicating clear weather.
Six hours later we had a T-storm.
When we got up this morning after the storm it was saying T-storms...

I'd say it's great at predicting what happened. JUST LIKE THE REAL WEATHERMAN.

.08% accuracy in tomorrow's predictions with 100% in yesterday.

From what the ad claims, it predicts up to two days in advance. (BULLSHIT)

The WAND-TV weatherman always starts his forecast with yesterday's weather. Being right about "something" is important. He's wrong a LOT and plays the future models for us to see like he actually believes. rofl
