If you want we can give that deal a go up around my area. We can grab a steak at the restaurant and hit the river for the evening. :P

I know that guy too. He hits the home depot and the plumbing/hvac supply house because they have a popcorn machine. A couple of the tire shops too.

It's a duck call. I asked for a quiet call, and that's what I received :D

I don't remember seeing any goose calls on the site, but there may be...

He didn't have what I was looking for posted on the site. I sent him a message, and over the weekend, he made my request a reality. I believe that if you think it, he can probably build it. He can probably use some facebook love too...if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't think you should call whatever it is you do "work". BBQ, call building, who knows what else...doesn't sound like much work goes on over there!

I work at a machine shop. What did the call sound like? What was the boar size? The taper on the sound board can make or break a call from sounding like a duck or a wet fart.....

Oh. Cool my bore is at .250 too. Ive found thats pretty standard. Are you using .01 reed thickness? I made the mistake of using to thin of mylar when I first started messing with it. I came to find out my guts were cut right I just had the reed's wrong.

For this one I was using a reed already cut from a call I already had. Probably a mistake. But it wasn't even close.

ok correct reed length to match the sound board might be some of the problem.

No just a hobby. It's cool stuff to get birds to respond to the call's you have built. I use mine and also run a few other Name brand calls.

Dude, you'll come to find out. You can't "recreate the wheel" When it comes to duck calls. Their is a reason why all decent sounding calls have similar characteristics. Just get some ideas from other calls you like and go from there. Change it up alittle to make your call have its own unique sound and go kill some shit with it..... :D

That's pretty much what I did and this jig is a good bit different. I'm making a jig basically the same to what I have in calls already.
