On a separate note, holy shit, just read through the 50/50 thread on the other site. I cannot believe how people are unable to grasp it.

They work on different wave links.

Where is the nearest place to rainey brake that we can gamble? I want to see this 50/50 stuff work.
I know I can double your money so bring it all. Dont hold back.
Your chances are very good!
Odds are very, very low but that dont matter in a 50/50 "no fucks given" scenario.
It'll be fun. Where we goin?

It will always survive. It is an immutable law of the universe, 100% verifiable in every situation. Even your 60/40 deflection is governed by the 50/50. It is true or it is not true.

The Law wins again.

What exactly does it win?

And, is it a useful tool to predicte PROBABLE outcomes? :o

It doesn't predict outcomes. Gravity doesn't predict that you will fall when you trip. It tells you. Thermodynamics doesn't predict that everything will have an equal and opposite reaction. It tells you. The 50/50™ doesn't sink so low as to engage in bookmaking activity- it TELLS you. Hence, it is a Law. There is no situation anywhere in creation where it is wrong.

In the border between the stars, you could put "it will" above and "it won't" below.

You could also keep it classy with "she does" and "she doesn't"

I'm not sure about the border, either. The design with the stars was the only one I could find that was "ovalish". Although I like the "it will, or it won't" bit.

NO, it does not even begin to describe the inner sanctum of our beloved Acorn. That is the one thing 50/50 cannot, and will never be able to describe.

THAT, my friend, can only be described as 60/40

Other wise your little paradygm is safe and amusing.

60/40? Thats all Acorn.

The reaction is generally one of disbelief and consternation. Because an entire belief system is being shattered by a simple phrase. That is the power of The 50/50™. I usually get wrinkled foreheads, and a look that says they want to argue. But then they know they can't.

It is a classic paradigm.
How can something so fucking stupid be right....yet it is.
Thats why you get the weird reactions from people.
This is probably the only chance I have had to use that fancy 50-dollar word.
Paradigm....word of the day.

Lets take this law to extremes. That is how science tests theories and laws.
There is a 50/50 chance mt everest will get buried in a flood today
50/50 chance that it will snow in phoenix.
It either will or wont. True.
Rediculus to think it'll happen but 50/50 still works.
I love to spout meaningless dribble like this 50/50 stuff.
Thanks for adding to my arsenal of trivial meaningless knowledge.
I recall having this same concept in second grade in 1970.
50/50.
Grade school mentality is required to fully understand the concept.
50/50 you skipped grades 2-12 and went straight to work in the taco factory.

If you make that shirt design, and put it on cafepress, you don't have to deal with a thing and you get checks in the mail for people buying it.

Just saying.
