Typical gestapo attitude of today's fuzz...

I'd like to sign up for a hunt with my bird, lol. Really I'd like for it to start off with someone who actually has a teal season worth hunting. We get a few but its really hit and miss. When the schedule is made I'd like to be late December or January. Even last in line would make good sense, although the sloppy seconds with this crowd wont be easy to handle.

I'd say count me in for that, but I won't be here for teal season. I'm good for anytime from begin to end of regular season though.

No, we would like to keep the decoy, not let Titz lose it somewhere over the side of the boat.

I'd like the first weekend in October again if no one has claimed it already. Our dates are already out. Shipping up and down the states doesn't cost any more with distance or take any more time as far as I know so grizz getting it in September shouldn't be a problem.

That's weird, early migratory is all the feds have set the frameworks for yet. Their regular season setting meeting is usually at the end of July.

Funny you say that... we took our second ever trip on our new salmon boat the 4th of July weekend and he lost the nicest rod holder we had. He had bought it less than 24 hours prior and it was mounted on the gunnel for less than 12 hours.

Key point in why y'all aren't eligible for the traveler.

I'm not sure how he did it, but he was changing out the lure on that line, when he pulled the rod out he pulled the holder out of the mount and it went in the water.

It got caught on one of the down rigger lines and we almost got it back but just before it came with in reach she broke loose and sank to the bottom.

Crazy, I struggle to get the rod holders out of the base when I'm trying. Titz can do it accidentally, his powers are impressive

My thoughts exactly, they are a snug fit and you have to twist them into just the right position. Amazing the things he can do on accident.

You got me

We only have Tentative dates right now, but in the nearly 20 years I've been at it they have been 100% right. October 5-6 is the weekend I'd like, unless somebody spoke first. I like getting it early as it is less likely to get beat up in early season when I only throw a couple out.

I have posted dates for the East Coast Travler, if your name is on the list or you would like to have the decoy for a weend pick a date and I will update the list as fast as I can. It's first come first serve!

The list isn't full yet so if you want in, now is the time!

1/18 or 1/25 (my birthday) will work for me. If I need to take it at another date, that will work as well.

The west coast decoy has 11 slots filled and we only have 9! Anyone else in this half of the country want to take part in the traveler? If you've already signed up post the days you want to lock them in!

olly, is this how we did the dates last year? What I mean is, a lot of people only get to hunt weekends and all the draw start on Sundays. wouldn't it be better if they were on thurs or fridays so we could have it for the whole weekend?

I think Olly just copied last years dates. We can go thru and adjust them so the guys'll have em for the whole weekend. And hopefully guys can get em mailed out by the following Monday and the next guy can have em ready to hunt by Thursday or Friday

You know I did just copy last year dates I didn't even think about them not being on the weekend. I will change the dates to reflex getting the decoy on the weekend!
