Eating good thread

Postby Mornin Beef » Tue Jul 02, 2013 4:52 pm

Good buddy of mine brought up super fresh steamers and lil necks this weekend from Long Island. He steamed them in a large pot and used the broth as a supplemental dipping sauce to butter. I just drank the broth. It was so god damn rich and awesome. We shucked many of the lil necks for slurping cuz we not fools.

Looks good beef, although I wouldn't have steamed any of the lil necks, they're just too good raw. If you can't finish the steamers, fry them up later.

Dammit beef, now I'm hungry for some clams.

We slurped em and a lot of them, at the end of the night before a 3am wake up call we just steamed them to finish them off. Not saying your wrong. You are right!

Snow crab. My neighbor just got back from his last trip of the season and sold me that whole cooler full of fresh live crab for 60$. They're almost ready.

Yeah they are pretty good. Opilio is from the pacific. These were caught out of Cheticamp in Cape Bretton. Although they look the same to me and I assume should taste similar.
