People act like these things are hand carved. I like sending them links to some storm fronts on Cabela's.

I I've thought about selling my dads old Flambeau decoys for $20 each as lawn ornaments. I'd probably be rich with how stupid people are.

Make him a deal. He buys the chest protector for $150 and you'll throw in the other stuff for free.

Id hunt with em. My "thing" is finding those. Arkansas rivers and timber has thousands and thousands of lost decoys.
I have found bags of dekes in the road before. Never can get enough of them.
Mine get shot up by ppl I take hunting so no way am I putting out cash.
I find a minimum of 24/year but....twelve get shot up.

My grandfathers decoys were the most realistic ever produced.
They were Live Brand. Ever hear of them? He kept them in a pen on the back of his garage.

About to meet a guy to sell a truck box. Anyone else always meet in a public place when selling shit on CL?

When I sold my truck, I had a gun, and I took a buddy who also had a gun. (Plus I needed him for a ride to go pick up my Jeep). Met the two Mexicans in a an AutoZone parking lot, who gave me $8,000 in a paper lunch bag. To say I was on edge was an understatement.

But yes- the name Pearcy would have weirded me out more than if I had to meet the Mexicans in a border town, for sure.

This guy was wearing jeans with flip flops and driving a early 90's nissian, he bitched about the price from the start but I kept telling him it was firm and he finally gave in. Put a $100 box on a $300 dollar truck.

I hate negotiations. Pay the price or don't, for fucks sake.

Any news on the boat trade?

Last email I got from him he asked for my number and said he wanted to look the boat over. He also mentioned that he turned down a cash offer yesterday to come look at the boat (means he's down to trade already).

Only thing I see derailing the trade is if the truck is a much bigger POS than I thought or he comes from left field and wants some cash on the deal.

I love negotiations I always come out on top with them, people these days do not know how to play hard ball. Like this guy I just sold the box to, I would have taken $80 but held firm at my $100 price and every time he would try and counter me he would look away and just was not confident about himself. That right there tells me you don't have the stones to fight for a better price, when I started to lift the tail gate back up is when he finally gave in.

If he had held his ground at $80 and offered to walk away and made it convincing then I would have accepted his offer but he didn't and I rode away with my asking price.

No way. Can't stand it. Too many years overseas, where you can't even buy a fucking apple without arguing over the price for 20 minutes. Eff that.
