Not to rock the boat, but if the emperor is sitting idle the first two weekends in September, I'd at least take him for a few swims.

Even of we added more people it would still go down the list.

Hey no reason for it to sit on the sidelines for two perfectly huntable weeks before anyone even touches it. And I get 5 days of ducks and geese in September. :grooving:

I get the same goose, but they combine the early teal/wooduck season in the middle of it as well. Your seasons sure would make spreads less complicated.

I cheat and set up next to a golf course.

There's a ton of birds, as usual. And as usual, it's hard to kill them because corn doesn't even start to get cut around here until the 15th-20th.

I have another sweet spot that is literally about 50 yards outside the city limits. Love dropping birds while people are driving down the highway watching. They really appreciate when you ring a goose's neck

On a side note, it would be cool if Olly could get me a couple stickers. I wanna slap one on my barrel and buy a black hoodie and do some sweet poses over a nice pile of dead birds. Maybe get a few high five shots in.

I'm not a super stickler for such regulations, but I know in Tuscaloosa it is illegal to fire a gun within 100 yards of the city limits. Just a heads up.

Its farther than that here, want to say 500 yards. This location is 50 yards past that, shoulda been cleaer.

Still, 500 yards seems close to me to the city. The highway is about 150 yards from where we put our layouts. Technically you are allowed to hunt the shoulder of the road as of a few years ago. Used to be 50 yards off any roadway, now it's "anywhere off the main path of travel" Not sure what the reasoning for it was, but I get a kick out of it. I guess if you are fine with hopping out of a vehicle and bagging it right there, so am I. To each there own.

Ill tell you what, golf courses are freakin goose magnets, our little gander has been increasing in size here lately, idk where the new guys are coming from but i wish i could find a spot to hunt em. too many houses and the reservoir behind the course is no boating, fishing, or hunting. i have a feeling there will be some sneaky DNR guys hangin around here once the season starts.

Holy crap I completely forgot about this  . I'm going to have to re-read through and figure out a date. I'm still in it fellas, I do apologize for the delay. MO has finally posted their dates.
