What kids do when they're bored these days

A baseball player from East Central University in Oklahoma was out for a jog while visiting his girlfriend and when his life came to an end. Three teenagers — ages 15, 16 and 17 — decided to pull out a gun and shoot Christopher Lane dead.

According to Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford, the teenagers said that they acted out of boredom when they decided to shoot Lane in the back.

From ESPN.com:

Ford said the 17-year-old has given a detailed confession to police, but that investigators have not been able to locate the murder weapon.
“They saw Christopher go by, and one of them said: ‘There’s our target,’” Ford said. “The boy who has talked to us said: ‘We were bored and didn’t have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.’”
“They followed him in the car to that area, shot him in the back and drove off,” Ford said.
Even worse is that this ABC News report that the kids killed another person randomly and that they decided to take to Facebook to brag about it by posting ”bang, two drops in two hours.”

It’s a sad world we live in and these stories just make your stomach turn.

Thankfully, there are also positive stories in sports that make us remember why we love using the games as an escape from reality.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of Christopher Lane as they deal with this senseless tragedy.

I would love to see all three suffer a slow painful death. Im talking braveheart style, slice them open and give an intestine to a dog kinda stuff. Pull toenails, bite a curb/russian mouthwash, stuck with dirty needles kinda shit!
