Had a feed at work last night, brought these duck poppers some duck and hot sausage gumbo. Gonna thaw out some more for poppers today.

We had poppers last night also but venison, shrimp étouffée and pork chops. All that with a dozen ears of sweet corn that is finally getting ripe made for way too much food

Jiffy corn muffin mix, diced jalapenos. Pour in heated cast skillet, sprinkle brown sugar on top, 400º for 20 minutes.

This is good with non soup, stew or bean meals. For those I like old skool white cornbread. This is like a snack, fuckin awesome.

We do corn bread similar, but have either bacon grease or butter in the pan, Paula deen has a recipe in the web that rocks FYI
