Tell the little guy I dig his glasses. One of mine is supposed to wear them but he is borderline on needing them so he "magically cant find them" all the time.

Ahh, mine is a Savage Arms model 120. Close to 50 years old. Looks identical to that youth 22 you got.

Looks like you got a big enough crew to send them out beaten the brush while you wait on the other end and fill the freezer.
Before you know it they'll be in High school and then gone.
I only had 2 kids but, I miss the days of taking them fishing and hunting.
Like they say, "take your kids huntin' so you don't have to hunt for your kids".

I don't want to be "that guy" but if every father was like Red, we wouldn't have strippers or porn.

Simply stating the truth. Talk to a stripper sometime, they don't have fathers/father figures.

Ever been to a strip club? That's all they usually do as soon as you walk in. Come up and try talking you into a private dance or to buy them a drink.

Sorry to bring up strippers in such a good thread, Red. Just a weird way of saying you are a great father for doing what you do with your kids, and I can't wait until my son is old enough to want to go out and shoot/hunt/be in the woods with me.

Well if you plan on having them for a sleepover you have to talk to them... most of them. Some are so stupid all you have to do is point to the truck and raise an eyebrow.

Having a stripper over for a sleepover is ALWAYS a good idea. Nothing bad has ever came out of it.

yea it's always a blast. So far other than occasionally shooting the 22's, my girls aren't showing interest in hunting. Although one of them is an excellent artist and has been saying alot lately that she wants to tag along on a hunt so she can draw "the pretty things I see." I'm gonna try and set up an easy hunt for her

Looks like a fun day with the kids! A deer tag too? Did you get an OK from the wife to go with me, or are you just going local?

one of my buddy's is hunting a new place locally he's never been too. He planning on puttin on the miles on foot. Asked me to tag along. It's a potentially great coyote spot as well. Then decided I might as well buy a tag if I'm gonna go. Still contemplating your offer

Did you mean that this is the first time in 3 years you've chosen to get a deer tag, or the first time in 3 years you've been allowed (by the state) to get a deer tag?

Where I live, I can take as many does as I want. Just have to keep buying tags. I should probably do that, but I'd have to get the bow restrung first. My families farm we can take up to 5 a person (we don't see that many though) but we can at least hunt with a gun.

first time in three years I've chosen to get a tag. They sale tags over the counter for the zone I live in. No draw
