Labor Day Plans

Postby Bulldog0156 » Sat Aug 24, 2013 8:24 am

Who's doing what?

My plans are to float the Yellowstone river up in the Paradise Valley with friends. Gonna be doing some serious fly fishing for the first time in a while and I can't wait!

I think my parents are going to be in FL camping and I might head over there to see them.

Sent from my phone.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on it. It sounds to me like they are getting after it pretty good right now so hopefully the hot weather this week doesn't make things worse.

Access hasn't been an issue yet. The big fire is up on the eastern side of the valley and the smoke hasn't been too bad from what I hear.

Jehler, the friends are coming from Helena, I still don't have any here.

Yup. Lot less traffic up up here...most days we have the lake to ourselves.

yeah, it's getting worse. my WMA is probably on fire now, unless they made a dozer line which will be great for growing knapweed next year

Been as far as Daily Lake. I can understand why they call it "Paradise Valley." It's a little busy for my taste but floating should be fun and hopefully a little less crowded. Plus, the Stone is one of the few rivers that doesn't have fishing restrictions on it right now.
