For the sake of conversation, I started when I was 16 and helped a roofer for cash while in school. Went into the Air Force until I was 24 then started when I got out. So about 8 years total, but definitely not just roofing those 8 years. I'd say maybe 15 roofs a year. I'd never brag that I am a great roofer, I don't want to do it but the money is so damn good and it's a simple process, not to take away from your profession. Can't remember who you said could lay 5/sq an hour solo, but I will seriously pay them $40/sq($200/hr) to come do roofs for me. I could book roofs 8 months out of the year solid for him.
