I HATE PARENTS...

I've had enough of the other parents on my daughter's soccer team. Some are even friends of ours. All the pissing and moaning about our coaches is about to set me off. Two great guys, both very respectable and very knowledgable. One who played for Stanford and the US Olympic trial team. The other a volunteer fireman on his regular days off, who's just been around soccer his whole life.

"My daughter's playing outta position"

"I drove all this way and she didn't even play enough minutes"

"Why does the team mom get to stand by the bench?"

"Why did that girl start? She missed a day of practice this week"

And my personal favorite, said by our neighbors and good friends


"I don't like the way they talked to my daughter"

Followed immediately by

"They're just not hard enough on the girls"

I've already made a few light hearted comments to some parents, which pissed off my wife. Told her I won't go outta my way to start shit but if one more asshole pipes off I'm gonna open my mouth and it won't be pretty.

One of em even had the fucking nerve to tell my wife "Well of course you guys like em, they (coaches) love Maggie (our daughter)." Shit I would've thrashed her. If those fuckheads only knew how I talked to my kids about their performances. I don't sugarcoat shit. Mine know how to make me proud and that's to leave it all on the field. But when they play dumb I let em know it.

Momma's made me swear not to start shit and the best I could do is tell her I'd try hard not too. I already avoid those assholes. Never sit with em. Don't go to their retarded post game ice cream parties. But shits gonna get worse when I start acting like they don't exist. That's my way of trying harder Momma.

But a time will come when some ignorant bullshit is said around me. Shit will hit the fan.

Parents are the most ignorant and prejudice assholes on earth.

Maybe it's the coach in me that wants to stand up for these guys. But in my opinion if they've done anything wrong coaching-wise it's that they're too easy going. However with that said, I've never coached young girls and I suspect you can't be as hard with them as you can boys. But "easy going" attacks sharks.

The assholes have perceived the easy going personalities of these two coaches as weakness. That in my opinion is where they've gone wrong. Although they've coached the hell outta our girls who're doing very well, so who am I too judge?? They've done their job and I applaud them for that.

Without a doubt, parents always fucked up any organized sport my sister or I ever participated in growing up. I gave up all sports by the time I was in high school and fished and hunted instead.

So following a 40-0 beat down that Jacks team laid on the opponents on Saturday (they didn't allow a single. First. Down.) we had the weeks first practice tonight.

It started off with "you guys feel pretty good about winning Saturday??"
"Yeahahahahahah!"
"Good. It was a good win. We had 5 penalties for false start. Get down, we're going to do 10 push-ups for every penalty"
About halfway through practice they started dicking off - "you boys don't want to practice, then I guess we'll just run for the rest of the night." And they ran the piss outta those little kids for 40 minutes.

Some of the parents were getting pissy, I figure a little more discipline is needed in this world
