Low Numbers?????

Postby R. Chapman » Sun Sep 22, 2013 8:49 pm

Well, just got done with the youth hunt for my last and final year. And I noticed something: it seems like the numbers are substantially low for local ducks this time of year. The last 2 years I have been doing the youth hunt, I limited out on ducks, Canada's, and coots. This year, I only got 5 ducks total and I saw about 20 total. Kinda depressing to say the least. Have any of you folks noticed a drop or rise in your local bird population?

Now, you know you can't fool Chapman on that WY mountain thing. Wyoming is flat, like this.

Don't you know those are the big damn rocks the Indians put there to stop the Canadian Southward invasion of the white man! Or maybe it was the westward invasion of the japs, or the eastward invasion of the Europeans, or maybe the northward invasion of the drug smuggling Mexicans?!?!

Just go find the old wooden boat hidden in the reeds. Might want a few friends though, it's heavy!

I found that think last year frozen solid on top of the ice. And there was a 4 mallards that had been dead for at least 2 weeks. I called FWP and the didn't do anything about it because they said it had been in the lake for years.
