Sent from my phone.

I used to have a corn cob pipe, many years ago. Might have to get me another, I think I may also need a Bear Bryant hat.

Hey MT I got my first pipe today too, although I've been around pipe smokers my whole life.

When you pack a bowl do it in 3 steps

Fill the bowl up to the brim them pack with a lite amount of pressure, it should now be at the 1/2 way mark.
Fill the bowl again and now double the pressure and the tobacco should be about 3/4 of the way down.
Fill it one last time and use more pressure than the first two steps, the bowl should now be filled.

That's how I've seen other men do it and that's how I did it this afternoon and I smoked it for close to 30 minutes while relaxing and watching the dog chase squirrels after work.

Oh and I picked up some Frog Morton's Cellar which is what I smoked this afternoon, it's a English blend and then I picked up some cheaper Blender's Gold Vanilla.

I liked the Frog Morton's it was very mellow and was easy to smoke with no bite.

Had someone tell me one time you pack a bowl with the pressure of

Shaking a babies hand
Shaking a woman's hand
Shaking a Man's hand.

I always thought that was a little anal but it seemed to work for me.

I always saw my grandpa pack it in 3 stages but he's not the one who told me about the hand shake thing. Actually a Michigander told me that.

This morning I'm trying that cheaper aromatic blend. It's Blender's Gold Rich Vanilla. So far I don't like it as much as the traditional blend. It had a lot more moisture when I opened the can vs the other one and has a small bite in my tongue. The flavor isn't as strong as thought it was going to be either.
