The picture shows the blind clearly almost the entire length of the boat. I was asking why he didn't just make it the length of his open area. No one is going to sit on the front deck, seems like extra work for nothing.

I'm interested in seeing it in person.

I see what your saying. Maybe the back half is storage, or that's where he wants his dog to sit.
I did the same with mine. The front deck lifts up, and I wanted that on the inside. Once I get the dog ready for boat blind hunting, that is where I'll have her sit too.

My dog has pretty much always sat out in the open and the ducks have never seemed to mind to much. I think he knows how to be still better than any human I've ever seen when they are locked up.

Yes. Brandy is calm as long as she can sit up and watch birds work. I will be next to her to wrangle her. QH told me Clyde does not let his dogs watch birds in his very similar blind, and it drives them crazy.

This way she can see out but they wont be able to see her. A piece of camo netting will attach to the top of the blind and cover the entire front deck. A similar piece will drape down on the back of the blind and cover the motor.

Next will be to screw fencing on the blind so I can attach vegetation to it. The paint was just for fun, it will all be covered with grass mats etc.

My dog was the same way. As long as he could watch he was good, if we tried to keep him from seeing he wimpers and paces.

When I start not watching the sky like I should I watch the dog, his gaze will lock on to birds when something is coming.

I look forward to seeing it in person. Always been a fan if hard sided blinds.

Did you name your boat yet? All boats should have a name.

Hey JuiceBox, I will save you some time so you don't have to skim through 260 something posts to find the name of TK's boat.

He named it the Edmund Fitzgerald, after his father.
