so someone finally 3d printed a gun, made of metal no less. seems to function, though if you watch the slide, it does hang up a bit on the first few rounds. i wonder how this will hold up long term. i suspect it will be like cast metal and shit the bed.

Looks like that after a couple hundred rounds it will be much smoother. What a great concept, sorta like cloning a 1911. If it really is cheaper to build and the savings are passed on to the end user, I want one.

Its definitely cool, but they'd have to put it through a torture test similar to the ones Browning used to do before I would be convinced it is safe.
