Nice we don't open here in AL until the 28th so I'm pretty jealous of you.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

We filled with five flavors of little ducks, including a half dozen greater-billed greenheads, and not a big duck on the strap. But I ain't bitching, we passed a fine time.

I still don't get how Louisiana opens earlier than Tennessee and Arkansas.

You have the same Federal framework to stay within that we do, but you folks are much more mallard dependent that we are, so folks there would probably howl if you opened when we did.

(Our northern zones also open later because they're more mallard dependent than we are down in the Coastal Zone.)

I also don't get the mallard infatuation.

But if that's basically all that you had to shoot at I suspect you'd want the season to be when they are in.
