Way to go, it is always great when you can back the truck up to the dead elk.

Oh we didn't back the truck up to the elk. We dragged that son of bitch two miles down hill an through a creek because I don't know how to quarter. Needless to say it sucked.

Haha! You will know for next time. Congrats on the great hunt. I am very jealous, elk is one of the best meats I have had.

Luckily it was all down hill or we'd still be there.

Screw the hatchet. Cordless sawzall and a couple extra batteries is the way to go.

That sucks mega dong. Good motivation for learning to go gutless though! A tip on gutless is always start at one of the creases in the leg near the belly. It's hard to screw up and make a mess if you start where there's a bunch of extra skin.
