I didn't do the shooting on this go round. I didn't know how easy it is to get a tag. Next year.

Today was too calm, they were rafted up and not moving much. We still managed three oldsquaw, two whitewings and an eider.

Why can't I ever seem to get a full limit of them? If they keep it up I'm not going have a full merg day again.

We are covered in them here Eric. I was cleaning the three from yesterday and the sea ducks from this morning when my dad and brother showed up with eight more they shot tonight. Debating on wether or not to hit them again tomorow, I'm starting to run out of ideas, what do you do with them?

Eat them. They might be a little more gamey but I've never had that fish taste everyone whines about. Definitely better than squaw.

I eat them too but I have plenty of better ducks for roasting, stews, smoking, frying etc. I usually throw a lot of them in the sausage pile. Now the sausage pile is getting pretty big, I might try making donair meat out of some of them.

And squaw gets plucked and roasted. One of the better tasting birds out there, same as hoodies.
