Well more Brown down. Brew shot a doe and I shot two does tonight. And there's jerky in the oven at home. Life is good.

No kills this year. Really strange season. Mega balls cold and no deer movement. Just took the bow out for rifle hunting, passed up a couple small bucks and a few does that I really should have plugged. Wolf sign everywhere. I don't think the deer they kill hurt the hunting as much as just having them there.

Might still crack a doe this weekend when I head home.

Hit another tonight but had my youngest son with me and he wasn't dressed for trudging thru the snow. She went down in a big valley. I'll retrieve her tomorrow morning.

Found her 30yds from where i stopped last night. Double lung shot at about 300 yds.

That would have done a number on her dome.

Thought about it, but need meat in the freezer, I'll take head shots in early season, double lung/heart/spine/shoulder shot for putting them down. Especially with good tracking snow.
