You kill a few out of it and the just fly and circle their way back down until the entire flock is dead. It's even better than roosting em.
I have never hunted a baited field for ducks but I did hunt a roost one time. Didn't really know what I was doing beforehand. It was a blast.
Last weekend of the season, come down. You'll have the time of your life.
I'll see what I can do. I'll be home for most of December don't know about January.
Sounds like a blast. Do it DH!

I'd love to. Just not sure it would be in the budget this year...

Exactly. Hunted with a Native once on First Nation lands over in Canada at a spot they called "The Golden Pond".
Idiot that I was, I thought the name was in reference to the fact that it was a great spot - hence "golden". When it got light out, it was literally glowing with all the corn in the water. It was stupid.
Those Indians shot ducks. All. Day. Long.
Hundreds and hundreds and thousands. When it got dark, they shot at shadows in the moonlight. I assure you, they put the South American duck shoots to shame.

Dan is presenting a solid argument, and you are quick stepping to come up with a way to back up your argument.
Take the loss and move on.

You guys have no idea. $8 for a 10lb bag of corn here this fall.

Take the loss and move on.
"A slippery slope argument states that a relatively small first step leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant effect, much like an object given a small push over the edge of a slope sliding all the way to the bottom. The fallacious sense of "slippery slope" is often used synonymously with continuum fallacy, in that it ignores the possibility of middle ground and assumes a discrete transition from category A to category B. "
how is any of this a loss? it's simply a difference of opinion. neither party can be proven or disproven without an actual study taking place.

That's ridiculous. I refuse to pay for the 50lb bags. I have a deal for mine, the farmer gets to cut hay on some of my land I get corn.

Draft a letter to USFW, tell them they have nothing to worry about because a 2nd year WB major said so.
I'll personally deliver it at the Flyway Meetings in July & I'll load the tears of laughter that result to YouTube an post them here.
