The pond that I figured we would end up in is set up like I said for a south wind. With it being a north wind we had to do a big string of decs to try and make it work right...... It did.

as much as i hate walmart, in the hunting section they have some ragg wool glove mittens that are really warm, even if they get a bit wet, you should take a look at them.

Kid had a tough go of it. But it turned out to be a fun morning. Started off with alitte bit of snow. Then the fog rolled in bad after LST. That got the Birds to start flying alot better. The nephew is still looking for his first duck. Got close a few times. Shooting some butt feather off. :lol:

Greenwings and gaddys made up the bulk of the limits for me and my cuz. All in all can't complain one bit. Fun day!

Tomorrow is calling for a low of 21degrees. Most likely goin to be an all day affair. Hoping it turns on big time after the ice melts for the evening hunt.

He shot at landed ducks twice. Air balled one of them. Then the we thoght he smoked the second. Took off when the dog got close. If you know the kid. He wanted to shoot at them flying. I wish he would of killed one. He got frustrated after the first hour. But he did ok for his first time out.He got alittle cold and pissed. Started bitching about it some. But well be trying again real. Soon.
