Some are for sure! If you want a good laugh, go to suvivalistboards.com and read some. There are people that have fallout shelters, only own vehicles that will survive an electronic bomb (don't remember what they are called?), have 500yds of nothing around their homes in case they were to get into a firefight, and other way over the top things.

The reason we started was the recent tornados here in il hit too close to home. We have many friends who lost power and water for days and others who lost everything. I at least want to be able to be warm with food and water available I yet were to ever happen to us.

I'm with huntall. There is a difference in being prepared for disasters man made or not and people who live everyday hoping and praying for major disasters.

I now live in a hurricane zone so of course I prep for that. Means preparing for weeks without power, stocking food and water or having supplies in the form of go bags ready to leave if a storm is coming in bad enough. Doesn't mean I'm crazy or paranoid.

People on that show about prepping are insane.

Also people that make no preparations for disasters and lie to themselves about their survival capabilities or that they'd never need preps are just moronic and naive.

Get a lot of major hurricanes, earth quakes, tornados, or floods up there in TC do ya?

Ever had to live through a natural disaster that displaced you from your home or even destroyed it?

It ain't gonna hurt anything to have a small emergency supply of essentials. I guarantee you prep some without even knowing it. Like your propane supply.

I'm just talking about thosse crazy preppers that Olly is talking about. Everyone should have a plan if disaster strikes but i don't really consider it prepping..though I'm sure it is

My father, W9FIU is famous in Ham Radio circles. His handle is "FLIP".
I'm not that interested in getting fined for interfering with the nearby fire station's radio equipment.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

Olly. Look. This pad was destroyed by the city due to my next door neighbor and his high powered illegal CB base station. 250,000 watts. He got fined $25,000.
