whos service should i buy?

any help would be great. I KNOW NOTHING

Interested in this myself. Let us know what you go with. I'm hoping that I can just pay for service when I need it a couple times a year rather than an annual contract.

Iridium is the best brand hands down. CG uses them all the time. As far as contacts or services I can't speak to that. But find a company that offers Iridium phones.

my buddy had one, said that it costs 7 bucks per minute or something like that. i think he got rid of it because he couldn't justify the cost.

I just looked into it deeper and Iridium not only makes the phones but they have the satellites in orbit so I bet you can buy service from them.

The Iridium phones I've installed and used were built like tanks, you could club a baby seal with one.

will be putting up a base station CB radio or business band radio for communications between us working but at times there is no cell coverage.

who's your service provider? Not sure how it is in CO but up here the only cell service that works is Verizon. I've found very few areas where i don't have some coverage. You may want to look into that if you haven't already.

i have US Cellular but the ol lady has Verizon and she dont get coverage when she is out there. on both companies coverage maps that i have seen there are some dead spots and i happen to be in one :roll: nothing comes easy ever anymore

there is, i think, maybe 200 less im not totally sure on the end cost yet with tax and everything else. usage plans kind of scared me too. i dont even have a fucking smart phone :o
