I'll second the water thing. Lots of water. We live at 6000' and pretty much force hydrate guests when they visit. Also carbohydrates seem to help. We elk hunt at 10500-11000 feet every year and focus the meals around some pasta rice etc. Could be in my head but it does seem to help.

OP needs to see a doctor if altitude messes him up. Could be an inner ear problem.

I used to routinely ride up to 30,000 feet and hop out of aircraft and if I mentioned headaches or nausea etc...grounded until cleared by an MD.
