With every passing day, I get happier that my Jeep has old sealed beam headlights that cost about $9 each.

My wife had the silver stars in her powerstroke, and the same think happened. Next set was the "style" one step below the silver stars (don't remember what they were called, but pretty sure the pack was gray and yellow), and they're going on 2 years now. In my opinion, they're just as bright as the silver stars, too.

I bought a HID kit off ebay years ago, should have done it sooner.

Easy to install and badass, super bright. Just pick the right one, depends on which bulbs your truck has.

Last powerstroke I had was the kick that followed quickly after two short pumps!

I think they named it "powerstroke" because most say "fuck this truck" at least once a week.

If you still have your receipt Sylvania will send you new ones if you call them. Had the same thing happen and they sent me 4 new bulbs

i'll say that having something i can see would be worth replacing every 6 months compared to seeing jack shit anytime i drive at night.

Put whatever comes stock in there, they last forever. If you look on the back of the silver star package the better and brighter their bulbs are the shorter time they last. Some of the better ones I remember having a life expectancy of 13 months. I had a set in my old 02 tahoe that didn't last very long. I don't care for the white light color anyways but that's just my opinion.

Piss away good money to look cool and piss off oncoming drivers with the "European" damned headlights. I dislike them greatly.

Hid kit here as well. We run them in our company trucks too.

I had hid fogs in my old truck, bright as hell and the whole kit was cheaper than silver stars.

When I was in Engineering school I worked for GE Lighting as an intern. Mattoon, Illinois. My project was improve the efficiency on the line that made headlamps for the Dodge Viper. It was insanely hard and we never got above 90% waste. Only 1-10 passed. Expensive lamps.
