I think most masons seemed to use "8-9-10" and call it good. "The carpenters'll get it squared up. Never mind the sill plate is only on by an inch in one corner, and hanging over 4 inches on another

I have been, or worked for general contractors my whole after-high school life pretty much.
Got lucky and almost all of my other trades ppl have taught me enough about what they do...so we're not fucking each other and did great work

The commercial jobs I've been on were races to fuck the other guy n split real quick. Then get all puffed up when someone points out how they fucked Joe plumber or Manny electrician. Have had to referee and it gets ugly
