You can sell raised ducks and also taxis can sell them after they meet the requirements. Lots of bear hides are auctioned off that way as well.

This is one of those subjects where you could ask four game wardens on four different days and get several answers. (I think)
I don't know being one.
Yes, no, yes...you want some Carmex?

Lots of Taxis raise just about every species of duck you could imagine to mount. I take it you didn't go look at The Waterfowlers taxi thread on DHC.

That is really cheap. I don't know off hand because I've never had a bird mounted, but I think out taxi is close to $400 for a duck.

The second one I had done was by an old man who has been doing it since the 70's. He's got some cool stuff in his shop and is really reasonable on all his mount prices.

I'm still amazed I'm allowed to sell all the fur I want, no limits, but not a 22 year old stuffed mallard mount. Stupid.

Pen raised birds are legal to sell mounted. A local farm near me sells everything from canvasback to mandarins. All come with a tag that says it's a farmed animal.

Selling ducks, in any form, is market hunting. There shouldn't be a market for dead migratory birds.

Dunhams and many other stores are gifted unclaimed birds and animals left at the shop. Gander Mtn displays the info of the taxi with the mounts. Since they're illegal to sell, they're gifted or loaned to the store. I managed a Dunham's gun dept. That's how it's done.

I know of a taxi named Lee Ault. He does decent work and including shipping, you can get a duck mounted for less than 100 bucks. My taxi that i regularly use charges 275 and does world class work. Tim Schloss out of Erie, Pa.

You can sell the hide and feathers of a duck or goose, as long as it's not for making art, hats and that kind of stuff. You can legally sell down for pillows, feathers for fly tying and other reasons.

Whole ducks, mounts, meat, all illegal.

If hardly call a mount a "whole duck". It pretty much is "hide and feathers". Maybe I'll sell one as a "pre assembled pillow".

I call BS on doing a bird for under a Benny. The forms, eyes, chemicals, wire, and glues is all of a Benny if not more, that's not even factoring in labor. Including shipping, no way.
