Season might be over..

Postby Bowjoe » Wed Jan 22, 2014 12:35 pm

On our way to hunt honkers the other morning hit a patch of black ice and totaled my truck
Nobody was really hurt I have 2 cracked ribs which I can deal with. There may be hope for my truck I have one body shop it says it can be fixed so I'm going to look into that.

I got my ass kicked pretty good when I was younger and the fucker cracked 2 of my ribs. So, take this advice for real..DO NOT LAUGH until you are healed. It really hurts.
Are the cracked ribs on your shooting side? It will make a big difference of how it feels when you hunt.
Good to hear it wasn't too serious and your truck is fixable. Hope you're feeling better before the season ends.

Joe if you find yourself laid up for a bit and have time Id like to pick your brain about archery stuff. my son has been shooting 4-h archery since he was 6, hes a great shot and has passed all of his levels but can't make a perfect 300, hes stuck in the 280-290 range. figured youd be able to give us some tips on how to make the perfect round happen?

Bummer, but glad that you and everybody else did not get seriously hurt, always could've been worse. Good luck on the mending of your cracked "ouch" ribs Joe!

That's too bad Joe, but I don't imagine that will keep you down too long. We all know how horribly addicted to waterfowling you are.

Probably wouldn't matter in your case. Black Ice kinda is just...OMG...there.

Four years ago I nearly drove my truck over the guard rail and into the Sangamon River. The boat ended up under the bridge almost in the river. I was not hurt. Air bags didn't go off...I got lucky. ???
