You and I both know how people on campus drive. Half the people campus here are Asian and not a one of them know what a 4way stop is.

Well the kid I was thinking about in particular is from Missouri so he may not know how to drive.

Someone actually tried to drive a moped in the snow?

Yessir. Somebody parked behind his truck so he took the moped.

Fuck you, The Dick Hummer.

Wasn't me. It was one of his roommates. And when he told the guy that owned the truck, he looked at him and asked why he didn't just get the spare and move the damn thing.

Quit fighting it woody. Nobody drives their truck at its capacity all the time.
It doesn't have anything to do with more weight being over the drive, its because the drive is up front - pulling. Friction loss under power is a stupid arguement - if its slick out you drive easy on the gas - trying not to spin the wheels anyway. The reason most people fuck up with a rwd is by letting the rear end pass the front end - that's why fwd or awd typically works better for the majority.

According to the weight over drive wheels, rwd drive is better camp, that should be the best fucking car ever in snow.
WRONG.

Betty, I don't like being mean to you, but you are being a dumb ass...

Front-wheel drive has some operational advantages, as well. With all that weight concentrated over the driving wheels, it offers very good traction on slippery surfaces at relatively lower speeds. Thus, front-wheel drive cars perform very well in snowy conditions, or on ice. People who live in places with frequent bad weather understand these benefits of front-wheel drive.

A typical front-wheel drive car will carry about 65 percent of its weight on the front wheels, so a major disadvantage of front-wheel drive is related to weight transfer. Under harder acceleration, weight is transferred off the driving wheels, so traction is reduced. Under harder braking, even more weight is transferred to the front wheels, so they have to do the vast majority of the work. Therefore, on a front-wheel drive car, the front tires and the front brakes wear out much faster than those on the rear. But, on the flip side, a front-wheel drive car, with all that weight on the front, will generally be very good at what engineers call "directional stability," or the tendency to keep going straight. This can tend to make a front-wheel drive car very stable at highway speeds during crosswinds, for example.

http://www.kbb.com/car-advice/articles/which-wheel-drive-is-best-for-you/

Most of the reason FWD vehicles are considered better in slick conditions than RWD is due to traction gained by weight over drive wheels. But with a trucks hauling capacity this is negated. And the rules of the game are changed. I believe it is correct to say In general towing is better than pushing. But when you consider the fact that you are applying rotational force to your steering wheels which reduces traction, you are not going to see an appreciable difference.

For comparison.
Car manufactures intentionally make AC and HEat louder than necessary. Actually they could be near silent, instead they are quite loud. Do you know why?
They do it because of the perception that people had during testing. They thought the loud system worked better than the quite system that actually out preformed it.

Why do I bring this up? Because the mind is a powerful thing... It is thought with proper meditation you can stop and start your own heart and it is thought that with just persuasion one can be give hypothermia on a hundred degree day.

Just because you think it is better it is.

This entire post tells me that you are unaware that the motor/weight is in the rear of the rear wheel drive VW which Betty was speaking of.
