I hate bass fishing

It is the "trophy" fish around here. I could care less to eat them, but a day on the water is tough to beat. I'd rather catch crappie on an ultralight , or yellowcats on the river any day.

Felt guilty about fussing you guys who were at least outside doing something I'd like to be, so for penance I fired up the chainsaw and cut two trees that have been bugging me down and up, then for good measure made a modification I hope will improve an X-flapper goose decoy that's been a disappointment. My man, Doc Manly Man, would be proud, even though no new tools were bought for either project.

But Doc would line us up with a step by step photo tutorial. Did you use OSHA approved safety protection for both task?

I'd love to, but I think getting them back to the weigh in on time and alive would be a bit difficult.

I do want to come up and troll out of a 14' boat some day though..I dont remember if it was lake trout or salmon you were catching though.

I've had a couple opportunities to catch double digit bass just couldn't get em to the boat but hopefully I find one this year
