Now, how do you hide a gun from today's technology. You bury it, they'll find it, hide it in wall, they'll find it.

Where?

You don't have to hide it. I think you are missing the point.

I have guns that were given to me that there is no record of...they don't exist.
I get the point.

But where do I hide them?

He wants a weapon that is off the radar legally, at least that's what I thought was the point.

Being serious, I doubt a poly frame would hold up to the long term usage you would require as a weapon. It will break. It's just a matter of when. There are too many re entrant corners. Polymers are weak at corners especially as a result of fatigue, which is what frames experience. Go for a metal frame.

He only needs it to last long enough to outlast a few of his competitors.

I didn't realize the whole frame was polymer. The stresses must be lower than I thought. I wouldn't buy one knowing that. I guess I'm just biased with my experience with polymers.

Polymer frames, yes. Polymer contact points, not much anymore. Only one I can think of that does anymore is the Ruger P95, and I've not seen one of them fall apart yet.

Honestly, I have never owned a poly gun, so I really don't know much about the internals of one. I feel as though you should stick with the original, proven material for specific designs though (until the early buyers come back with in depth feedback). That's the biggest reason I would go with a metal for a 1911.

Now if they come out with a glock 80% frame, I will be on that like white on rice!

I thought the 80% lowers for AR style etc just needed some drilling for the pins. If that's so, what's the talk about milling for. Just make a jig and drill them out.

You have to cut the slide rails on the frame. ATF says that they cannot be pre cut or it isn't considered a unfinished frame.
