Can't say I know Reynolds "well" but do hope he counts me a friend, as I believe he's a good man doing the best he can with the tools at his disposal. Will add that if you'd paid better attention to him than you apparently have, you'd know he's explained time and time again that HIP reports play precious little role in generating the numbers they actually do pay attention to. Give him a call, and I'm sure he'll explain it again.

Tried and true.

2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup la choy soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
Slice thin
Marinade
Sprinkle lightly with accent (msg) after you put it on the rack.
Dehydrate

I use our oven on around 200 or less with door propped open an inch.
Takes 2-3 hours tops.

What happens if you leave out the MSG? That stuff is terrible for you.

and yet if you ask what numbers are used, um ,well, according to the reports. what reports .back to the feds . not trying to be rude but just what are the bios studying as to water fowl In la. ok habitat and that is important .we need someone out doing it and ill bet its not a lot of fun sometimes . but as to the statement we in la shoot more ducks than anyone and uses what is at best shaky info, well after that I know the im smarter than you because im a bio has started . one was telling my grand dad how it was once pops told him he was full of bull .he asked if pops was a bio he told him nope and I ant a vet but I know horseshit whin I see it. duck breed in the north fly south and winter .so unless your out counting ducks one by one back to WHAT NUMBERS .and he can tell me whatever he wants but by the same rules I will ask how do you get the info you use. also ummm its my money and every one in this state who pays him .so if he feels put upon im sure he is free to take a job someplace else .ill bet you a dollor to a donut the pay n extras won't match up. I hope you don't feel im picking on him but if you hear im with the gov and im gonna help!! know the bull@%#! is now starting as of that moment

Call Reynolds and I absolutely guarantee he'll make the explanation of how their numbers are generated and used much easier to understand than your post. He'll also explain those numbers aren't expected to be and have no need to be precise, because they're only used to track trends and will be imprecise by roughly the same factors from place to place and year to year. Ie, if they're wrong about how many birds LA kills, they'll also be wrong about how many the other states kill by roughly the same percentages.

After all, you pay him, so why not quit your bitching long enough to try learning what for.

I'm kind of curious how one would determine the absolute facts of how many birds an entire state harvests over the course of a season? I can't even personally tell you exactly how many birds I killed, let alone within 10 birds of my total. If you have 1000 hunters as lazy as me, now you are talking about the possibility of a 10,000 bird swing (and I think that is a GROSS underestimation). If you are asking any wildlife biologists to give you exact numbers, you are outside of your mind. Do you think they hand count every single one of the 8 million (or whatever the number is) mallards? All science can ever be is a reasonable guess.

Yet they claim to know the crippling rate.

Don't know what crippling rate you're referring to, but they have a pretty good idea what the crippling rate has been in the several observation studies they've done, like the blind studies comparing steel to lead, and may be extrapolating from those.

Wrecks your kidneys. If you eat a couple huge plates of Chinese food, you can even feel your lower back ache a little. but it's just so damn good.

I don't know exactly, but about the craziest party chick I ever dated was a doctor in residency, on her way to becoming a cardiologist, and the one and only piece of health advice she ever gave me was to never eat anything with MSG in it. Solid, no?

I think the hype about MSG is created because some people have a allergic reaction(I guess that's what you would call it?) to it.
